Roberto Santana was the host of the "First Conversatorium on Political Status" sponsored by the Federal Bar Association, and featuring two former governors sharing their insight regarding the century-old political status question as to Puerto Rico's relationship with the Federal Government.

 

November 1, 2010 - Myriam Matos elected President of the Association of Labor Relations Practitioners.

Myriam Matos was elected the 27th President of the prestigious Association of Labor Relations Practitioners. Founded in 1967, the ALRP groups under one roof legal professionals in the field of labor and employment relations engaged in the private as well as in the public sector representing employers, employees and regulatory agencies. It is the only organization in Puerto Rico that fosters the forum that allows evaluating labor and employment topics from the different perspectives of its diverse membership.

 

September 25, 2010 - Russell Del Toro chairs FBA Earl Kintner Award Committee.

Russell Del Toro was appointed Earl Kintner Award Committee Chair during the FBA National Convention in New Orleans at the ceremony bestowing the award on FBA Past President Dana McDonald.

 

August 30, 2010 - Court of Appeals sides with DTS banking client.

A second panel of the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals sided with a banking client of DTS in certiorari petition in related proceeding in the Maria Martinez Martinez v. Luis H. Santaella Font litigation, allowing Puerto Rico's largest bank to present additional evidence to sustain bona fide third-party purchaser for value and without knowledge defense.

 

August 19, 2010 - Election of Russell Del Toro to chair Past Puerto Rico Chapter FBA Presidents Committee.

At a private ceremony where Magistrate Judge Hon. Justo Arenas was inducted as honorary chapter past president of the PR chapter of the FBA, Russell Del Toro was elected by the past pesidents to serve as Chair of the FBA Past-Presidents Committee until 2012.

August 19, 2009 - Del Toro & Santana is contributing author in "A State-by-State Guide to Construction and Design Law".
